What happens during Dental Bonding

We follow a specific set of procedures to ensure natural-looking results. First, we select  resin colors that are the same colors as your teeth. Then, we prepare your tooth by roughening the surface; this step helps the composite material adhere to your tooth. We also apply a liquid that helps the resin stick. After we apply and shape the resin, we use a light to cure the material so that it properly bonds to your tooth. We polish and shape the restored tooth to ensure it looks natural.

What happens after your appointment

It’s normal to experience temporary sensitivity or gum tenderness after your appointment; this usually subsides within a few days, and warm salt water rinses, sensitive toothpaste, and over-the-counter pain medicines (like ibuprofen or acetaminophen) can be helpful to ease your discomfort You can brush and floss your bonded teeth like normal.
