Congratulations to Dr. Kroll !

Dr. Kroll received the Fellowship award from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry on October 23, 2010, in Boston, Massachusetts, at the Academy's 59th Annual Meeting. The Fellowship has been awarded to less than 300 dentists worldwide.

Who are Fellows of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry?

Fellow Membership is a special step in validating a dentist's expertise and proficiency in implant dentistry. To qualify for the Fellow examination, applicants must be Associate Fellows in good standing, provide both the surgical and restorative phases of implant dentistry and meet the published educational and experiential requirements.   They must also meet the professional and leadership credentials requirements specified in the Requirements for Fellow Membership.

To qualify for the Fellowship, Dr. Kroll completed more than 400 hours of postdoctoral or continuing education in implant dentistry, performed more than 50 implant cases, held Associate Fellowship in the Academy and passed the Academy's rigorous Fellow examination.  The Fellow examination included a series of oral examinations, presentation and defense of ten implant cases, and review of Dr. Kroll's professional and leadership credentials.

Through this examination process, an expert panel of dentists evaluated Dr. Kroll's clinical proficiency in advanced surgical and prosthetic dental implant techniques, in-depth and advanced knowledge of dental implants, and his commitment to excellence in implant dental practice and to the Academy's standards for ethics and patient welfare.

The American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) is the oldest professional organization in the U.S. dedicated to the advancement of the implant field.  Its more than 3,800 members include general dentists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, periodontists, and prosthedontists.  The Academy's Associate Fellow and Fellow credentials are a testament to excellence in implant dentistry.  The AAID is the only implant organization that offers credentials protected by federal court decisions.

Congratulations to Dr. Kroll !

Dr. Kroll received the Mastership award (MAGD) from the Academy of General Dentistry on June 30, 2007, aboard the USS Midway in San Diego, California.  The MAGD is awarded to less than 1% of dentists nationwide.

Who are Masters of the AGD?

A general dentist who has earned the designation “Master” of the

AGD (MAGD) has completed a structured and demanding set of

requirements. To attain a MAGD, your dentist must first be a

Fellow in the AGD. Then your dentist must earn an additional 600

approved continuing dental education credits, meeting minimum

requirements in certain dental disciplines, of which 400 hours are

hands-on courses.

How does this designation benefit you and your family?

Masters of the AGD follow a lifelong pursuit of continuing education.

They want to provide the highest quality of dental care to you and

your family.  The awards symbolize the professional responsibility of

your dentist to remain current in their profession.  These are awards

however, and should not be confused with post-graduate degrees or

certification.  Every dentist who applies for the Mastership Award has

their application reviewed by the AGD to ensure they meet AGD’s high

standards.
